I’m honestly really disappointed with my experience here. I ordered a boba drink that was supposed to come with boba and Oreos, and when I got it there was barely anything in the cup besides the drink itself. There was almost no boba and hardly any Oreo pieces, which is frustrating when that’s literally what you’re paying extra for. When I tried to ask about the drink and why it didn’t have the toppings it was supposed to, they acted annoyed and like it was a problem that I even asked. Customer service goes a long way, and this experience just felt dismissive and unwelcoming. If you’re going to charge for specialty drinks with toppings, the least you can do is actually include them and treat customers respectfully. Sadly, this visit left a really bad impression.

Kung Fu Tea is hands down one of the best boba tea spots in Grand Rapids! If you’re searching for bubble tea, boba drinks, milk tea, or fruit tea in Grand Rapids, this is the place. The shop is clean, modern, and welcoming, with a fun atmosphere that makes it perfect for hanging out or grabbing a quick drink. The boba pearls were perfectly chewy, the tea was smooth and refreshing, and the flavor balance was spot-on—not overly sweet. The toppings selection is amazing, with options like classic tapioca boba, jelly, and popping boba, which makes every visit customizable. A huge shout-out to Tiny, who was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful. Excellent customer service like that really elevates the experience and keeps me coming back. If you’re looking for the best boba tea in Grand Rapids, Kung Fu Tea delivers every time. Highly recommend for anyone who loves milk tea, bubble tea, or specialty tea drinks. I have been going here for 4 years and the drinks are great, always my go to for a quick night snack. Today, I came back to grab a drink with my family and saw these machines and I wanted to try. My partner got this green guy here after 2 tries but when it dropped, the little tag stuck to the side and didn't fall through. I asked the guy on cashier, Ankit, since it was already falling out of the thing and I was hoping to see if it was still qualified. He said he couldn't do anything about that, and that he could ask his coworker. He came out and said he didn't have the key, and just thumbed up me and gave me a smile. So regretfully I tried again, my partner then put in the token (the coin for the machine) to try taking the green plushie out, but then it said error, yet we still had 1 play, like it said on the machine screen in the picture. I then asked the guy again about it, he then said he couldn't do anything about it. I was surprised because for the first question, I understood but this time was clearly the machine's fault. So I asked what did he mean, and was wondered why I paid to put the token in just for the machine to not work and had it unresolved from the vendor's side.

From the moment you walk in, the guest service is absolutely stellar – friendly, patient, and genuinely excited to craft your perfect bubble tea. The ingredients are noticeably fresh, making each sip a burst of flavor, and the prices are incredibly wallet-friendly. With their kid-friendly options of caffeine free or lactaid free drinks, and ordering ahead on the Kung Fu Tea app was a breeze, making pickup seamless. I also learned I could earn rewards towards future drinks and they have locations all over the US. If you're a bubble tea fan, or even just curious, this is the place to be! I went during their Grand Re-Opening this weekend, I met the owner Desmond and his hard working team that created an environment welcome to all. They even do catering for events and their space is great for large groups to gather too! I can’t wait to come back to get my boba fix and bring family and friends! Thanks!
